A San Antonio federal jury returned a unanimous verdict for the defendants in a three-week long antitrust trial. David Prichard served as co-counsel for the defendants along with Leon Carter, Courtney Barksdale Perez, Joshua Bennett, Linda Stahl, and Stacy Cho Hernandez of Dallas’ Carter Arnett. The plaintiffs alleged antitrust claims and maintained the defendants tried to force the plaintiffs out of business. After other defendants settled, the case went to trial against the remaining defendants. They argued they were not engaging in an any anti-competitive practices and simply educated the public about the plaintiffs’ billing practices. Following two-and-a-half weeks of evidence, the jury deliberated for nearly three days before reaching a unanimous defense verdict.
